Allen Marsh is an American actor. He was born at MCAS Cherry Point, North Carolina to Mary Jo (Allen), a teacher, and Joseph Marsh, a pastor. The family, which included a younger brother and sister, moved frequently, and by the time he was 17 he had attended eight different schools in six states. He was president of high school drama club and studied theatre in college before enlisting in the Air Force, stationed first at Hickam AFB, Hawaii and later at Offutt AFB, Nebraska, where he was honorably discharged. While there he met and married Lori Wyatt, and the couple moved first to St. Paul, Minnesota, where their daughter Lily was born, and later to Springfield, Missouri, where daughter Eleanor was born. Allen worked at various jobs including graphic designer, closed captioning editor, piano teacher, and radio announcer before an impulse to audition for a play in 2004 led to a role in a local production of 'You Can't Take It With You.' He continued to act in regional plays, films, and commercials and, following the death of his wife in 2009 from complications of lupus, relocated to Los Angeles. Allen appears as screenwriter Alvin Sargent in The Offer (2022) opposite Colin Hanks. He plays jazz pianist Lester Thomas on The Young and the Restless (1973), and The Rocky Horror Picture Show (1975) producer Lou Adler on Lakers: Hora de Vencer (2022).
